Editorial Policy

This page explains how the questions, answers and explanations on Career Decode are prepared and checked, and what to do if you find a mistake.

What we publish

• Free mock tests for government recruitment exams. Each test is a set of multiple-choice questions grouped by subject and topic.
• Question banks and sample papers (PDF) with the answer and a short explanation for every question. Each one has a free mock test, so you can try before you buy.

Our tests are practice material for the syllabus of each exam. They are not the official paper and we are not connected with any exam-conducting body. Always check the official notification for dates, syllabus and rules.

How questions are checked

Every question set goes through the same checks before it can go live. The website will not build if a check fails.

1. A format check. Each question must have its options, a subject and a topic.
2. One answer per question. Every question must have exactly one correct answer. The answer key must be one of the options, and the answer text must match that option. A key that does not match the option text is rejected.
3. Questions and answers are paired with care. Each question is matched to its answer and explanation. If the match is not certain, a person has to check it by hand before the test is published.
4. No unresolved doubts. A question marked as uncertain stops the publishing process until it is fixed.
5. Explanations. We write a short explanation for every answer. Questions without one are flagged for review.
6. Topics. Each question carries its subject and topic, so your result can show which topics cost you marks.

Who prepares the content

Tests and study material are prepared by the Career Decode team, including our exam content and research lead and our question bank and test series manager.

Corrections

We want every answer to be right. If you think a question, option, answer or explanation is wrong, write to us at support@careerdecode.in with the test name and the question number. We check the report, correct the test when the report is right, and update the test file. Corrected tests keep working for people who already started them.

Independence and privacy

Career Decode is free to use for mock tests, with no sign-up and no ads. We do not take payment to change a question, an answer or a ranking. Your results stay in your browser. Read the Privacy Policy for details about analytics.
